Have you ever wondered whether it’s worth your time and money to add gravel to your road or driveway? Here are a few times when adding gravel is definitely worth it.
1) Water is pooling in the middle of the road causing mini lakes
If this is happening, the middle of the road may be lower than the sides of the road, preventing proper drainage. In this instance the road surface would need to be raised a few inches to establish a crown for proper water drainage.
2) Boulders are obstructing the roadway
When there are boulders sticking up through or just below the road surface that are too large to remove, it may just be easier to raise the road over this spot with new gravel.
